Left unchecked, and without conscious thought, diversity within teams is hard to achieve. In Chapter 3 of her innovative, new book Inside Out Empathy, Thorp describes her own leadership journey and the challenges she faced creating a unique team of people that were not simply a reflection of her own thoughts, actions and behaviors. Thorp insists that by embracing the “differences” in others, we increase our ability to innovate and can push ourselves and others to achieve so much more! A team with skills and strengths to compliment our weaknesses can do more than we ever thought possible!! A powerful, new vision of leadership has finally arrived on the scene!
